The views are breathtaking and there is always an activity for each and every person. Dotted across the Whistler landscapes are gorgeous bright green lakes. Just a quick walk from the Whistler Village is Lost Lake Park. Surrounded by forest and views of the mountains, this is a blissful getaway lined with beautiful cross-country ski trails.

The Lost Lake Trails have 25 km of cross-country trails and 15 km of snowshoe trails. The trails are groomed daily and they even have 4 km of the trails lit for night time skiing! You will ski past views of the snow covered mountains, find yourself in the peaceful and quiet forest, make your way past the frozen lakes, and come across two different golf courses. The trails and sights you will experience in Lost Lake make for a trip you will never forget and it will leave you wanting to come back for more. If you want to travel light, no problem, you can rent all the gear you need, including snowshoes. If you want to take to the trails at night, the cross country ski tickets are 50% off on Monday and Thursday nights! Lessons are also a great option for people who are newer to the sport or are looking to improve. You may even be able to ski the harder trails by the end of your stay!

The PassivHaus is the day lodge that sits on the trails for both winter and summer use. This energy efficient building is the perfect place to stop and warm up or eat a snack for a quick recharge. The PassivHaus is also used for small events like club meetings or cocktail events. The staff here can help you with any questions about rentals, lessons, or the trails!

In the summer months Lost Lake is filled with bikers and hikers! There are 55 different trails for bikers and 35 km of trails throughout the network. They have terrain for both beginners meandering the trails and taking in the scenery and experienced riders looking for a challenge! You can also use the wide paved trail for cycling. Keep your head up to watch out for hikers, but also to take in the amazing views of the mountains, lakes, and thick green forest! Don’t be surprised when you have multiple wildlife sightings of bears, birds, and so much more.

Finally, be sure to take time to relax and swim at the park beach. The clear water might be a bit of a chill but is always refreshing after hiking the trails or riding your bike.
