Happy National Feel Good Day!

In honor of National Feel Good Day – or any day for that matter – remember it all starts with you. While it may sound selfish, think about when you feel good – are you a better friend, worker, boss, spouse, parent?  Does life seem better? When you start feeling good it resonates out to the world and you attract more goodness.

So today, make a conscious effort to do at least one feel good thing for you, one feel good thing for someone you love or know, and one feel good thing for a stranger. This could be a larger than usual tip, being more thankful and appreciative of service people, buying someone coffee or lunch, making a donation, or any combination thereof. When we do nice things for ourselves and for others the world becomes a better place.

This book is a must for everyone, I happen to be a runner, but no matter which direction your life is taking you, every chapter will strike a chord in every aspect of what you are experiencing. This book pulls you in with all the great personal stories mixed in with how to apply Ms. Johnson’s advice in your own life. I would tell myself that I would just read one more chapter and then put the book down for a while, but that didn’t happen. Three or four chapters later, I would still be reading and soaking it all up. A 30+ year PR and marketing specialist in the areas of travel, tourism, sports, real estate, healthcare and hospitality, Holly transitioned into coaching after becoming selected to join Team New Balance in Sarasota, Fla. A late-blooming athlete, she got into long distance running after a short stint in Olympic distance triathlon, completing her first of 27 marathons in 1984. She has qualified for Boston 20 times and run the epic race six times.
